Privacy policy

Your career story is personal. This policy explains what findnewpath uses to help you explore a new direction, where that information goes, and the choices you have.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to findnewpath and its career exploration tools. findnewpath is operated by Lior Pesoa, who is responsible for the personal information described here. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Lior Pesoa.

Information we collect

  • Account information. Your email address and account identifier. If you use Google or LinkedIn to sign in, the provider can also share your name, profile picture and basic profile information, according to the permissions shown when you sign in.
  • What you add. Your CV, work and education history, skills, feedback, answers, preferences, saved directions, job choices and CV drafts. Information you add about other people, such as a contact or feedback author, may also be included.
  • Connected-app contributions. If you authorize another app, we receive the suggestions and source references it submits for your review.
  • Technical information. Our hosting and authentication services process information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and error logs to deliver and protect the service.

Only share information you have permission to use. Avoid adding sensitive information that is unnecessary for exploring your career.

Google sign-in

Google sign-in is used to identify you, create or access your account, and keep your saved work associated with you. It does not give findnewpath your Google password or access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, calendar or contacts.

Signing in with Google is separate from choosing to connect an assistant or another app. Any access that app has to your other services is governed by the permissions you give it and its own privacy policy.

How we use your information

Providing your information is voluntary; you are not legally required to share it with us. Without account details we cannot create an account, and without career information we may not be able to provide personalized results. You can leave optional fields blank.

We use your information to operate your account, save and restore your progress, interpret your experience, suggest career directions and relevant jobs, and help you draft a CV. We also use it to respond to support requests, troubleshoot failures, prevent misuse and meet applicable legal obligations.

If you request job alerts where available, your email address, selected roles and preferences are passed to the service that delivers those alerts.

Service providers and sharing

  • Accounts and storage. Supabase provides authentication and storage for signed-in accounts and saved profiles.
  • AI features. When live AI features are enabled, relevant CV content, answers, feedback and career context are sent to Anthropic to generate the result you request. This can include an uploaded CV document when it is being parsed.
  • Hosting and delivery. Infrastructure providers process requests and operational data to serve the website and deliver account emails or requested alerts.
  • Apps you authorize. Connected apps can receive the profile context exposed by the connection and submit suggested additions. Suggestions wait for your confirmation before becoming part of your profile.

We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect users and the service. Opening an external job listing takes you to a separate website with its own privacy practices.

Cookies and information on your device

We use authentication cookies to keep you signed in and browser storage to remember your work. You can start building a profile before signing in; after you sign in, that progress can be copied to your account so you can continue on another device.

Clearing site data in your browser removes local copies and may sign you out. It does not delete information already saved to your account. Signing out clears the working session on this device while keeping your saved account data.

Retention and security

We keep saved account information while it is needed to provide the service, handle your requests, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. Local browser data remains until you clear it or the app removes it. Copies in service-provider backups and operational logs may remain after active records are deleted, according to the provider’s retention processes.

We use authenticated access and access controls to protect saved information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live.

Your choices and requests

For privacy questions or to request access, correction or deletion, email hello@findnewpath.com. Contact us from the email associated with your account where possible. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

You can review and edit your profile in the app. You can also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing, receive a copy of your data, or complain to your local data protection authority.

You can remove Google sign-in access through your Google Account connections. Removing access does not automatically delete your findnewpath account or saved profile.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date on this page when the policy changes and provide additional notice of material changes where required. See our Terms of service for the conditions of using findnewpath.
